Meet at Lower Lobby (located at ground floor next to the car park) of Centara Grand Hotel at Central World to sign the tour registration books and board coaches.  Members staying at hotels other than Centara Grand at Central world need to make their own way to Centara Grand.

Depart for Kanchanaburi Province located about 2 hrs west of Bangkok by tour bus.  It is famous historically and has been used as a shooting locale for many famous movies including Bridge Over River Kwai and The Deer Hunter.

Visit River Kwae Bridge and its associated JEATH War Museum and the War Cemetary), all monuments to World War II.  River Kwai is also the starting point of the infamous Death Railway to Burma, the subject of the famous movie “Bridge Over River Kwai”.

Depart for lunch at Keeree Tara Restaurant.  This is a very trendy restaurant located on the bank of Kwai River in a peaceful setting.

Lunch at Keeree Tara Restaurant.  International food is limited in Kanchanaburi so a modified Thai buffet will be provided.  We will do our very best to ensure that all items in the buffet are not too spicy and an adequate selection of vegetarian food is available.

Arrive at Prommitr Film Studio where the Thai biographical drama about King Naresuan
The Great was filmed.  This movie series is Thailand’s most expensive production to date and has been marketed in other countries as “King of Fire”.  The film studio itself is situated on 3,200 square km of land and the entire area has been transformed into historical sites of ancient Siam.

Depart from Prommitr Studio and return to Centara Grand Hotel at Central World.

17:30 

Arrive back at Centara Grand Hotel at Central World.  Members not staying at this hotel will need to make their own way back to their respective hotels.
